Peak season at the farm these days - this week in the share we had bok choi, lettuce, kale & swiss chard, carrots, potatoes, scallions, beets, cucumbers & summer squash, and corn, and in the pick-your-own sections we had hot peppers, herbs, and husk cherries (a #1 hit, it turns out). Lots of the fall things in the ground are coming up nicely, like the pumpkins & winter squash, turnips, parsnips, etc. Looking forward to those things!
We had a crew member hurt her back & she's been out for about a week; realizing how much of the work is shared & what a huge difference one person is. Yikes.
