Farm-to-School

going to a conference/workshop tomorrow about local produce getting to school lunch programs. should be interesting, as they appear to be using conventional distributors for the whole enterprise.

today we planted parsley, 3 kinds of alliums (who knows what they are? anyone?), and 3 kinds of lettuce. fertilized 7 beds (gross) and moved a bunch of rocks. pretty good.

mmmmm... garlic, my favorite! though also a big fan of shallots, which I have not been able to find here in Ecua-land. So sad.
