Kohlrabi

I brought some of these down to DC with me this weekend, to share. Pretty exciting!

Consensus was that it tastes like a radish, but milder? Hard to say. The bulb part at the base of the plant gets peeled, and eaten raw or cooked, and the leaves can be braised.

You shared some with ME!

I just boiled the greens for a few minutes w/ some chard and then pureed it to stuff into shells w/ herbs and ricotta. So good! The greens are delicious, grassier than chard but more tender than kale.
